THE NHLBI GROWTH AND HEALTH STUDY IS A FIVE YEAR PROSPECTIVE INVESTIGATION OF FACTORS THAT MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT O OBESITY IN YOUNG FEMALES. A FEW CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE QUESTIONNAIRES FOR YEARS 4 AND 5 BECAUSE THE GIRLS ARE OLDER AND HAVE DIFFERENT CONCEPTS AND INTERESTS. FOLLOW-UP FOR THE GIRLS IS BETTER THAN ANTICIPATED (OVER 90 PERCENT IN YR. 3).
