Abstract: THE FOREST SERVICE NEEDS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE TYPE OF RECREATION EXPERIENCE THAT WHITE SALMON AND KLICKITAT RIVER USERS DESIRE SO THEY CAN BEST MANAGER THESE NEWLY DESIGNATED WILD AND SCENIC RIVERS. RAFTERS AND KAYAKERS USING THE RIVER IN 1990 WILL BE INTERVIEWED FOR THEIR OPINION ON HOW TO MANAGE THE RIVERS. WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION, WILL BE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO SATISFACTORILY MANAGE RIVER USE.
