Abstract: THIS INTERIM RULE ADOPTS, FOR PURPOSES OF THE FEDERAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM ACT (FERSA), THE PROHIBITED TRANSACTION EXEMPTION APPLICATION PROCEDURES UNDER THE EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT INCOME SECURITY ACT (ERISA). THIS RULE IS BEING PUBLISHED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONGRESSIONAL MANDATE TO PROMULGATE A FERSA EXEMPTION PROCEDURES BY DECEMBER 31, 1988.
