Abstract: REFINERIES AND IMPORTERS OF GASOLINE ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT QUARTERLY TO EPA ON THEIR LEAD USAGE AND GASOLINE PRODUCTION. LEAD ADDITIVE MANUFACTURERS MUST REPORT THEIR QUARTERLY SALES OF LEAD TO REFINERIES. THE INFORMATION IS USED BY EPA TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH LEAD PHASEDOW REGULATIONS WHICH LIMIT LEAD IN GASOLINE FOR HEALTH REASONS.
