Abstract: THE REGULATIONS SET STANDARDS OF DESIGNING AND INSTALLING WATERTIGHT DOORS. THE COAST GUARD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH THESE REGULATIONS BY U.S. FLAG VESSELS. THE PLANS SUBMITTED BY SHIPBUILDERS AND DOOR MANUFACTURERS ARE USED TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE.
