Abstract: THE BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS (BIA) HAS LEGAL AUTHORITY TO GUARANTEE PAYMENT OF BONDS ISSUED BY INDIAN TRIBES TO FINANCE ECONOMIC ENTERPRISES. BIA CAN SUPPLEMENT SBA GUARANTEES OF SURETY BONDS. PROPOSED REGULATIONS WILL REQUIRE INFORMATION COLLECTION. INDIAN TRIB ARE AFFECTED.
