Abstract: THERE IS A NEED FOR INFORMATION ON VISITORS TO FOREST SERVICE WILDERNE IN THE SOUTH. THE TYPE OF INFORMATION TO BE COLLECTED WILL PROVIDE VISITOR PREFERENCES FOR CONDITIONS AND A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR ATTACHMENT TO WILDERNESS. INFORMATION COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO APPLY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS WHICH INTEGRATE ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL CONCERN AND THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO MAKE INFORMATION PROGRAMS TO REDUC
