Abstract: THIS EVALUATION OF STATE AND LOCAL IMPLEMENTATION OF CHAPTER 1 UNDER THE HAWKINS-STAFFORD AMENDMENTS OF 1988 WILL PROVIDE DATA FOR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND THE REAUTHORIZATION OF CHAPTER 1. THE NATIONAL SURVEY AFFECTS DISTRICT CHAPTER 1 COORDINATORS, WHILE THE ON-SITE VISITS AFFE STATE AND LOCAL CHAPTER 1 COORDINATORS, PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS, AND PARENTS OF CHAPTER 1 CHILDREN.
