In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, the information
collection request for the WIC Child Impact Study - Field Test is
approved through September 1991. OMB has discussed with FNS its
concern that the data from the pretest study lacks practical
utility. As stated in the attached letter from FNS, OMB is
committed to continue discussing this issue with FNS once FNS staff
ha collected the pretest feasibility data for both the
quasi-experimental and the experimental research designs. Should
both research designs appear feasible, OMB wishes to discuss with
FNS how the agency will compare the two research designs, and what
criteria the agency will use to choose the appropriate design for a
full-scale study.
