Abstract: AT THE CLOSE OF THE BATHING SEASON, A ONE PAGE QUESTIONNAIRE IS MAILES TO RESPONSIBLE OFFICIAL(S) IN EACH OF THE 86 COUNTIES THAT BORDER THE GREAT LAKES ON THE AMERICAN SIDE. SURVEY RESULTS ARE INCORPORATED IN A REPORT TO THE INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION IDENFIFYING FREQUENCY OF POLLUTION RELATED CLOSINGS OF RECREATIONAL BATHING BEACHES.
