Abstract: RESPONDENTS (50 STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 5 TERRITORIES, AND 2 RIVER BASIN COMMISSIONS) SUBMIT BIENNIAL REPORTS AND ANNUAL UPDATES (OR CERTIFICATIONS) CONTAINING WATER QUALITY DATA. THESE REPORTS PROVIDE THE PRINCIPAL INFORMATION SOURCE FOR ASSESSING OF NATIONWIDE WATER RESOURCES AND FOR PERFORMING WATER QUALITY ANALYSES REQUIRED IN BIENNIAL REPORTS TO CONGRESS.
