Abstract: IN PUBLIC LAW 100-44B, CONGRESS PRESCRIBES A STUDY TO ESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF FUEL CONSUMED BY RECREATIONAL BOATING ACTIVITIES TO DETERMIN THE PROPER PERCENTAGE OF THE FEDERAL FUEL EXCISE TAX TO BE APPLIED TOWARD BOATING ACTIVITIES. WE WILL COLLECT DATA FROM A SAMPLE OF RECREATIONAL BOATERS NATIONWIDE.
