Abstract: THE PROPOSED REPLICATION OF TWO QUESTIONS FROM THE 1990 TAXPAYER OPINION SURVEY WILL BE OBTAINED FROM A RANDOM SAMPLE OF MARYLAND RESIDENTS. DATA WILL BE USED TO STUDY EFFECTS OF CONTEXT, SPONSORSHIP, AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION AND ARE EXPECTED TO LEAD A MOR ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF TAXPAYER ATTITUDES.
