THE 1991 AHS-NATIONAL IS A LONGITUDINAL STUDY THAT COLLECTS CURRENT INFORMATION ON THE QUALITY, AVAILABILITY, AND COST OF THE HOUSING INVENTORY. IT ALSO PROVIDES INFORMATION ON DEMOGRAPHIC AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF OCCUPANTS. FEDERAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES USE AHS DATA TO EVALUATE HOUSING ISSUES.
