Abstract: PUBLIC LAW 101-382 REQUIRES THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE TO MAINTAIN A COMPLETE ACCOUNTING OF TRANSACTIONS RELATING TO THE REQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF UNPROCESSED FEDERAL TIMBER AND TO ENFORCE THE PROHIBITI AGAINST SUBSTITUTION OF UNPROCESSED FEDERAL TIMBER FOR EXPORTED PRIVAT TIMBER THROUGH SPECIFIED REPORTING REQUIREMENTS. THE RESPONDENTS WILL BE TIMBER TRADING COMPANIES.
