Terms of Clearance: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, OMB has approved this Information Collection Request (ICR) for use through November 30, 1991. To obtain OMB approval for continued use of this ICR beyond November 30, 1991, USGS must: (1) adequately explain the purpose, need, and practical utility of each element of data collected on each part of the application packet enumerated on page 4, section X (A-J) of Announcement 7747, (2) explain to what extent, if any, the information collected by USGS to administer this program exceeds the standardized information approved by OMB for the administration of gra programs (SF 424), and, (3) explain the need, purpose and practical utility of any information gathered by USGS that exceeds that already gathered through use of the SF-424.
