This information
collection is approved for use until March 1993. During its review
of the collection, OMB received responses to some questions which
revealed changes already made to the questionnaire that were not
brought to OMB's attention prior to the conclusion of it review.
Therefore, prior to the initiation of the final survey, HHS must
submit to OMB a copy of the final 1992 NHIS instruments that
reflects andy and all changes made to the core and/or supplements
as a result of lab testing or field/CAPI pre-testing. OMB does not
approve the $20 remuneration for the Youth Risk Behavior
supplement. HHS must submit a justification for such remuneration.
During the pretest, HHS should attempt to obtain responses without
the use of remuneration. HHS must conclusively demonstrate that the
absence of remuneration will adversely impact the response
rate.
