Abstract: THE RECORDKEEPING IS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF PIPELINES THAT ARE EXPOSED OR A HAZARD TO NAVIGATION IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO LATER DEVELOP REGULATIONS FOR THE MANDATORY, SYSTEMATIC, AND WHERE APPROPRIATE, PERIODIC INSPECTIONS OF OFFSHORE PIPELINES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO.
