This
registration form is cleared for two year, until 7/31/93. In the
next two years, NIJ is encouraged to analyze its methodology in
terms the data it is gathering. As it stands currently, the
Position Title and Organizational Affiliation categories do not
seem to provide meaningful information which could help NIJ target
its readership more effectively. It appears that some of the
categories could be either eliminated or consolidated to better
identify the types of people who desire NIJ's publications and
their organizational affiliations. The same holds true for the
Position Level category. While it may cost NIJ some resources to
redefine its current systems, is more costly to continue collecting
information which may not be use in the most effective way
possible. The Interest Profile lead in sentence is also revised to
read: "Pleas check the boxes that describe the areas from which you
would like to receive information."
