We have granted
approval for ESA to collect information from State educational
agencies concerning Work Experience and Career Exploration Programs
operated under 29 CFR 570.35a, through August 1994. We accep ESA's
proposal to discontinue collection of information by means of th
fact-specific application form WH-375. Prior to ESA's last
paperwork submission, completion of this form was not required of
state educational agencies. We have approved only those information
collection requirements that the Department considers as subject to
th Paperwork Reduction Act.

STATE EDUCATIONAL AGENCIES ARE REQUIRE
TO FILE APPLICATIONS FOR APPROVAL OF WORK EXPERIENCE AND CAREER
EXPLORATION PROGRAMS WHICH ARE EXCEPTIONS TO THE FAIR LABOR
STANDARDS ACT CHILD LABOR REGULATIONS. STATE EDUCATIONAL AGENCIES
ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN RECORDS WITH RESPECT TO
APPROVED WECEP PROGRAMS.
