Terms of Clearance: Not Approved. Comments Filed. OMB does not approve the information collection requirements in the proposed "Public Housing -Contracting with Resident Owned Business" rule. OMB files the following comments on the proposed new information collection requirements in accordance with Section 3504(H) of the Paperwork Reduction Act. 1) Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.4(b)(1), HUD shall ensure that the collectio of information associated with contracting with resident owned bus- inesses is the least burdensome necessary. In particular, HUD shall discuss the costs and burdens of the requirements to demonstrate that a resident-owned business is legally formed as per (Section 963.10). 2) HUD shall summarize the public comments associated with the information collection portions of the proposed rule and address these comments in its next submission. 3) Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.4, HUD shall demonstrate that the collection of information is not duplicative of other information available to th public housing authority or HUD 4) Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.4, HUD shall demonstrate the practical utility of requiring both certified copies of corporate charters, other organization documents that verify the resident-owned business, and the identity of all owners/management officials who are not public housing residents. When the information collection in the final rule is submitted, HUD sh place the OMB comment number 2577-0139 in item #20 on the SF83.
