Abstract: THE ECONOMICS MANAGEMENT STAFF, USDA, HAS BEEN DELEGATED AUTHORITY TO RATE AND CERTIFY APPLICANTS FOR AGRICULTURAL STATISTICIAN POSITIONS AND MATHEMATICAL STATISTICIANS AT THE GRADE GS-9 LEVEL ONLY BY THE OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT. THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUALIFICATIONS STATEMENT ELICITS THE INFORMATION NEEDED FROM JOB APPLICANTS TO ENSURE THAT THEI QUALIFICATIONS ARE ACCURATELY EVALUATED.
