Terms of Clearance: This information collection is approved through 12/91 according to the following aggreed upon payment policy: Focus testing participants will receive $20.00. Message testing participants will receive $10.00. School districts will receive $2.00 per pupil for the children participating in message testing. FNS may only extend the $20.00 and $10.00 payments if the participant provides documentation indicating that transportation costs exceed this cap. This agreement reflects the general policy that payment for the most part is restricted to reimbursement.

Abstract: USDA NEEDS TO DEVELOP GRAPHIC MATERIALS THAT ILLUSTRATE THE DAILY FOOD FOOD GUIDE OF THE DIETARY GUIDELINES FOR AMERICANS. TO BE EFFECTIVE, THESE MATERIALS MUST BE TESTED AND PREPARED FOR USE WITH CHILDREN AND LOW-INCOME ADULTS BEFORE THE SPRING 1992 RELEASE OF THE "DIETARY GUIDANCE FOR CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAMS" NOW BEING DEVELOPED BY USDA AND DHHS.
