Abstract: PROMPTED BY DECLINES IN CENSUS QUESTIONNAIRE RESPONSE RATES, THE PROPOSED STUDY IS DESIGNED TO TEST THE HYPOTHESIS THAT AN ABBREVIATED REDESIGNED CENSUS FORM WILL YIELD A HIGHER RESPONSE RATE THAN DOES A FORM OF GREATER LENGTH.
