Abstract: THE PROPOSED RULE PROTECTS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S INTEREST IN THE LO FUND BY REQUIRING NURSING SCHOOLS TO IMPROVE THEIR LOAN FUND MANAGEMEN BY REPORTING EXCESS CASH IN THEIR LOAN FUND AT LEAST SEMI-ANNUALLY AND PROMPTLY REPORTING UNCOLLECTIBLE LOANS TO PHS FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO WRITE OFF.
