Abstract: SECTION 1817(J) OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT REQUIRES A NOTICE TO BE FILED WITH THE OTS WHEN A CHANGE IN CONTROL OCCURS IN AN INSURED INSTITUTION. IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS, THE COMPLETION OF THE CHANGE OF CONTROL FORM BY APPLICANTS IS NECESSARY. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC ARE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO ACQUIRE CONTROL AN INSURED INSTITUTION.
