Abstract: THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION HAS ACTIVELY SUPPORTED NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD OF RAPID GROWTH OVER THE PAST TWO DECADES. THIS EVALUATION STUDY WILL ATTEMPT TO DETERMINE NSF'S ROLE COMPARED TO NIH/ADAMHA IN IDENTIFYING AND SUPPORTING NEW INVESTIGATORS AND NEW AREAS OF NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH.
