Approved as amended by DOL's 2/21/92 memorandum to OMB. In addition: -- Future DOL research using case studies shall be designed so that the case study component is linked to an underlying survey that can be generalized to the relevant population. -- DOL shall assess the feasbility of measuring skill attainment in th and other employment and training surveys, consistent with the skill standards work being developed by DOL and the Department of Education. -- DOL shall add a research question, and survey questions if necessar to determine what procedures and mechanisms are used by SSAs to ensure that services provided are tied to labor market opportunities. -- DOL shall add a survey question about employer-provider partnership other than customized training. -- Analysis of outcomes data shall be made by controlling for services provided and types of clients served, in addition to the other depende variables identified by DOL. -- Item D5 shall be revised to clarify the point at which participants are officially enrolled in receiving various services. -- Approval is conditional on the receipt of the Phase I report and th revised summary of research tpoics by relevant questions (Exhibit 1), promised by DOL.
