Abstract: THE NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE (NCI) IS CONDUCTING THE COMMUNITY INTERVENTION TRIAL FOR SMOKING CESSATION (COMMIT), WHICH WILL TEST WHETHER COMMUNITY-BASED STRATEGIES CAN PRODUCE LONG-TERM CESSATION AMONG SMOKERS.
