Abstract: THE CENSUS WILL PROVIDE DATA ON DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS AND OFFENSES OF PERSONS ON PROBATION AND PAROLE. DATA ON AGENCY SERVICES, PROGRAMS, DRUG TESTING AND TREATMENT, STAFFING TRAINING, AND BUDGET WILL ALSO BE COLLECTED. THE LAST CENSUS WAS CONDUCTED IN 1978. DATA WILL BE USED FOR PROGRAM PLANNING AND POLICY MAKING FOR CORRECTIONS.
