Abstract: THIS STUDY OF CHAPTER 1 RESOURCE ALLOCATION EXAMINES A PURPOSIVE SAMPL OF 120 SCHOOLS IN SIX STATES SELECTED BY DEGREE OF EQUALIZATION ACROSS SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN EACH STATE, TO DETERMINE DIFFERENCES IN CHAPTER 1 SERVICES BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH POVERTY SCHOOLS AND VARIOUS LEVELS OF LOCAL FUNDING.
