Abstract: COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES, RURAL SOUTH' PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS ARE DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMS (CHPPS) IN THE RURAL SOUTH. LITTL IS KNOWN ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS IN COMMUNITIES WITH FEW RESOURCES. THE ROLE PLAYED BY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS AND OTHER PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS WHO SERVE LOW INCOME POPULATIONS WILL BE EVALUATED.
