We have approved this information collection as proposed, but we have not approved the requested extension of the requirements to the three following programs: The Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers Programs, th Indian and Native American Programs, and the Senior Community Service Programs. DOL staff have indicated that the Department has not devote resources for the inspection of information collected by these three programs in the coming year. Without enforcement actions, information collected for these three programs would lack practical utility. In addition, the Department did not include sample scheduling letters for these three programs, making this package incomplete with regard to th proposal. -- Approval through November 1993 is granted because recent developmen in the UI/ES and JTPA data systems may make this report duplicative of that information. Specifically, the proposed Participant Data System would collect race/ethnicity, gender, age, and other information for JTPA at the individual level, allowing sub-SDA aggregations; the UI/ES system may be revised to record such data on a universe basis, if Stat report that providing their records through a universe data dump is le burdensome and more accurate than the sampling scheme currently used.
