Abstract: THE OFFSHORE SUPPLY VESSEL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTING AND MARKINGS ARE NEEDED TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS TO THOSE ON BOARD OF ACTIONS TO BE TAKE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. THE RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS ARE A MEANS OF VERIFYING COMPLIANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS WITHOUT HAVING A COAST GUARD OFFICIAL PRESENT TO WITNESS ROUTINE MATTERS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO BE COMPLIED WITH IN THE REGULATIONS.
