Abstract: LOGBOOKS ARE NEEDED TO OBTAIN FISHERY DEPENDENT DATA ON THE FISHING INDUSTRY, CATCH, EFFORT, BIOLOGICAL, AND ECONOMIC INFORMATION FROM COMMERCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FISHERMEN. DATA ARE USED FOR STOCK ASSESSMENT, QUOTA COMPLIANCE, REGULATORY ANALYSES, MONITORING, AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.
