Abstract: 10 CFR PART 39 ESTABLISHES RADIATION SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE USE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL IN WELL LOGGING OPERATIONS. THE INFORMATION I THE REQUIRED APPLICATIONS, REPORTS, AND RECORDS IS USED BY NRC TO ENSU THAT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC IS PROTECTED AND THAT LICENSE POSSESSION AND USE OF MATERIAL IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.
