Abstract: TITLE 21, CFR 1312.12 REQUIRES ANY REGISTRANT WHO DESIRES TO IMPORT CERTAIN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES INTO THE UNITED STATES TO APPLY ON DEA-357. INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE SUITABILITY FOR ISSUANCE OF AN IMPORT PERMIT, ENSURE THAT IMPORT QUOTAS ARE NOT EXCEEDED, AND PROVIDE THE UNITED NATIONS WITH LEGITIMATE TRAFFIC ON NARCOTICS.
