Abstract: ALTHOUGH SCREENING FOR OCCULT STOOL BLOOD IS RECOMMENDED BY THE NATION CANCER INSTITUTE AND OTHER HEALTH AGENCIES, THERE IS NO DEFINITIVE EVIDENCE THAT SUCH SCREENING IS RELIABLE OR DECREASES MORTALITY FROM COLORECTAL CANCER.
