collection request is approved for use until December 31, 1993. OMB
will not approve this collection for use after this date unless the
next submission explicitly and clearly addresses what regulatory
action the Department plans to undertake to simplify the
manufactured home design and approval standards (24 CFR 3282 and
3283). As of the date of this action, HUD has not taken any action
in response to the ANPRM published on January 3, 1992. Suc an
explanation would not be necessary only in the event that HUD has
already completed revisions to its regulations prior to the date of
re-submission of this package.

THE STANDARDS REQUIRE PERTINENT
INFORMATION IN THE FORM OF LABELS AND NOTICES TO BE PLACED IN EACH
MANUFACTURED HOME. THE REGULATIONS REQUI THAT MANUFACTURERS AND
OTHER PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS PROVIDE THE DEPARTMENT WITH DATA
CONCERNING THE PROGRAM.
