As agreed to by the Agency, FNS will 1)include i the sample,
Medicaid recipients who are not required to participate in the cash
child-support program, in the two States where this data is readily
available; 2)Either conduct the focus groups before the survey to
inform the design of the survey, or eliminate the focus group
component from the study; 3) Consolidate the income and resources
questions to broad categories so the interviewer does not read
every possible source of income.

INFORMATION IS REQUIRED TO EVALUATE
THE BENEFITS AND COSTS OF POLICY OPTIONS TO INCREASE THE
PARTICIPATION IN THE CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM OF NON-AFDC
FOOD STAMP HOUSEHOLDS WITH CHILDREN OF ABSENT PARENTS. PROPOSED
DATA COLLECTION ACTIVITIES IN FIVE STATES INCLUDE A RECIPIENT
SURVEY AND RECRUITMENT FOR FOCUS GROUPS.
