Abstract: CONSUMERS WILL BE INTERVIEWED BY TELEPHONE ABOUT THEIR FOOD HANDLING PRACTICE AND KNOWLEDGE, KNOWLEDGE OF MICROORGANISMS, SOURCE OF FOOD SAFETY INFORMATION, PERCEPTIONS OF SOURCES OF FOOD CONTAMINATIONS, AND FOODBORNE ILLNESS EXPERIENCE. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO DESIGN EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR CONSUMERS, THE FOOD INDUSTRY, AND THE MEDIA.
