Abstract: RULE 22E-3 WOULD ALLOW OPEN-END INVESTMENT COMPANIES AND REGISTERED SEPARATE ACCOUNTS TO REDEEM SHARES ON A MORE LIMITED BASIS AND TO HOLD LESS LIQUID SECURITIES THAN IS PERMITTED FOR MUTUAL FUNDS. ONE PROVISION WOULD REQUIRE A FUND'S BOARD TO ESTABLISH AND REVIEW WRITTEN PROCEDURES FOR ASSET LIQUIDITY.
