This information collection is approved for use until December 31, 199 PBGC has expressed a commitment to include customer satisfaction data in its 1992 annual report. This commitment is a voluntary response to OMB's efforts pursuant to the CFO Act to ask agencies to present information and data on program performance in their financial statements. However, PBGC's timeline for the production of its 1992 annual report and the collection of this customer satisfaction data ar not close enough to permit any more than the pilot data to be ready for the 1992 report. If this data is included in the report, PBGC must include the appropriate caveats to describe the limitations of this data. OMB strongly recommends that PBGC postpone reporting on performance measures based on this data until its 1993 annual report, when the full survey is complete. PBGC can refer to this clearance in its discussions with OMB's Office of Federal Financial Management (OFFM). OFFM has agreed (Woody Jackson) that the presentation of the data in 1992 would be premature. In other words, PBGC does not have to report preliminary data in its 1992 annual report to meet an OMB directive. There is an expectation by OMB that such data would be available by 1993.
