Abstract: NIST CALIBRATION SERVICES PERFORMED FOR INDUSTRY ARE PRICED ACCORDING THE COST OF PERFORMING THE DIRECT SERVICE FOR THE INDUSTRY CLIENT, PLU A SURCHARGE FOR PART OF THE UNDERLYING MEASUREMENT RESEARCH. CHANGES THE SURCHARGE HAVE CAUSED SOME CHANGES IN DEMAND FOR THESE SERVICES, PLUS ALLEGED IMPACTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CLIENTS. THIS STUDY WI DOCUMENT THROUGH SURVEY DATA THE ACTUAL IMPACTS ON INDUSTRY.
