Abstract: NMFS IS ISSUING A FINAL RULE TO AMEND THE SEA TURTLE PROTECTION REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO SHRIMP TRAWLERS IN THE SOUTHEASTERN ATLANTIC FOR REGISTERING FISHERMEN, IF NEEDED, WHEN NMFS TAKES EMERGENCY ACTION TO PROTECT SEA TURTLES OR WHEN SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS MAKE SHRIMP TRAWLING WITH TEDS IMPRACTICABLE.
