This survey
instrument has practical utility in producing general information
about the health status and occupational exposures of farmers in
the State of Ohio. Because this instrument does not use
case-control measures for statistical controls, NIOSH should note
the limitations attending these data whenever reporting them. In
particular, NIOSH should clarify that this study does not allow
researchers to causally link farm work to certain chronic
ailments.
