Terms of Clearance: Approved as amended by ED's 3/1/93 memorandum to OMB. ED has added a definition of cooperative education that differs from that in Section 801(b) of the Higher Education Act. ED shall revise this package tous that definition. ED may use the definition of cooperativeeducation that appears in final regulations for the CooperativeEducation program when such regulations are published; accordingly,clearance is granted through 12/94, the current expiration date for thispackage. In addition: -- ED shall revise Assurance A of the Literacy Corps Assurances, to be consistent with the revised description of prior involvement with community service programs on p. 10. -- ED shall delete part (b) of the waiver description on p. 11. This deletion was described in the cover note, but not made in the package.
