Abstract: THE INFORMATION ALLOWS THE EPA, STATES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE WITH SEWAGE SLUDGE STANDARDS BY PUBLIC AND PRIVATELY-OWNED TREATMENT WORKS, AND DOMESTIC SEPTAGE HAULERS THAT LAN APPLY, INCINERATE AND/OR DISPOSE OF SEWAGE SLUDGE. EPA IS REQUIRED BY CONGRESS TO REGULATE USE AND DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE SLUDGE UNDER THE 1987 CLEAN WATER ACT AMENDMENTS.
