Abstract: STATES PROVIDE DATA AND PROGRAM INFORMATION BIENNIALLY TO ASSURE EPA THAT THEY HAVE AN ADEQUATE UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR CURRENT HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM AND THEIR FUTURE CAPACITY NEEDS AN TO ASSURE THAT THE STATES HAVE REALISTIC PLANS FOR MEETING LONG-TERM CAPACITY NEEDS. EPA USES THIS INFORMATION TO EVALUATE ADEQUACY OF CERCLA 104(C)(9) ASSURANCES.
