Abstract: THE RESOURCE, CONSERVATION, AND RECOVERY ACT OF 1976, AS AMENDED BY TH HAZARDOUS AND SOLID WASTE AMENDMENTS OF 1984, PROVIDES FOR AUTHORIZATI OF STATE HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGRAMS. TO ACHIEVE AUTHORIZATION, A STATE MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION WHICH DEMONSTRATES THAT IT MEETS THE STATUTORY AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.
